I used to have a banshee all decked out for racing, it blew up within 8 months of perfect care(carb/airboot seperarted)so I am trying for a loan on a more reliable quad.a Honda!!So if all you 400ex owners can give me some input I'd appreciate it!!!Good overall quad or a waste of money???

400ex=reliable, nice speed...but no dragster, great woods handling, great handling in the air also, a good (or great) stock quad, and only gets better when you modify it. I say go for it, but go ride one if you havnt already and you be the judge. If you loved your banshee your going to miss the pull through the gears, but this will be tons more reliable.

I have a 400EX right now and am trying to trade it for a Banshee. I feel that the 400 is a better all around bike but I'm into drag racing and riding the sand dunes. I have a 300EX and am keeping this one for a trail bike. I feel that the 400 is the best allaround bike out there and if it was not for drag racing I'd keep my 400.

That's what I'm looking for. a reliable and great overall quad. Not something you have to beat to death to run it right!! I think I'll be happy with it. I looked at a Yellow one yesterday and it looks good. If the bank gives me the OK it's mine!!! Thanks guys!

hey moe4, I spent 2 months in the forum and on every review website I could find before buying mine, and i can AFFIRM with a 100% certitude that the 400EX is the BEST quad for what you are looking for. And guess what, I bought it last week, the same as the one you want (2001 Yellow) and it really rocks. I mean, this is my first quad, and I find it really good in speeding even if the guys in the forum say the opposite. I mean, it's fast enought for me (i'm not a racer or a speed freak) and I'm not riding for competition with other quads, I'm just riding for fun and I am very proud of what I bought: good handling, good speeding, good mechanic, good looking! Hope that help you!
