Question 1991 fourtrax 300, front wheels seizes up

Different times the left or right front wheel will seize up, the other three wheels work and one of the front wheels will slide. I put the bike in reverse, give her a shot then the seized wheel and the other three wheels turn, put back to forward until it happens again.
I removed the front brake shoes, bike has front brake drums and they were garbage and it still does the same thing.

any ideas?

You are saying that you have the brake shoes removed on the front...both sides? If the shoes are removed, then you either have a bad wheel bearing, axle bearing, or something wrong in the front diff. Is this a 4WD?
