or better yet a quadracer 500. if you want to keep your 400EX get a 505 kit, nitrous, turbo, paddles, extedned axle and a-arms, renthal or TAG handle bars, new pipes, porting, and a high compression piston with a bigger carb (FCR is the best)

dude, forget what those other guys said. the 400ex is a sweet duner.
I say get you a nice set of paddles, I like 22" straight paddles with the one rib fronts.
22" gives you more ground clearance, helps you float, and you can run less air to get a smoother ride.
the straight paddles will get the maximum amount of power out of your motor.
also going up in rear tire size will increase your top end.
and the single rib fronts will help you turn, cause it aint gonna wanta turn with those mean paddles in the back.
then maybe look into gettin a steering dampner for those choppy days.
anyways, welcome to the forum!

First off, I would suggest getting the easy bolt on mods. Get a pipe ( if you don't plan to major motor mods I would stick with the stock header and only get a slipon, Pro Ciruit has a nice one)and K&N air filter, plus a set of pladdle tires would help. If you want duner use the V Paddles or if you want to sandrag use the strait paddles.
