Hey,
i've only been to Poole Rd twice but i think i can get you close. if you're coming into raleigh on hwy 70, take the hwy 40 exit (don't go to garner), when it comes time to get on the belt line, you want to go east which i think is 440 outer belt line. (in other words, like you're going to the RDU airport). i'm pretty sure Poole Rd will be like the 1st exit you come too, not sure of the number though. when you get to the light at the end of the exit ramp, go to the right. the next stop light (i think) is New Hope Rd. turn left onto New Hope Rd. i'm sure there are several places to enter the riding areas off of that road, but i generally make a right onto the 2nd street (which ever road name starts with a "C", it's like carter or something). ne ways, go down that rd and you'll see the big powerline trails. i've only followed the power lines to the left, and there's a place people park and unload down there. from there you can figure out the rest. if there are any raleigh guys on the board they might be able to tell you a better place to enter or something. HTH
a group ride would be fun, but sadly i don't have a 4wheeler. stuck trying to get rides from my friends. lol. but maybe i'll have enough money by the end of the summer for a used quad. hopefully!
