Need help..or lots of tanerite!!!

So... I have a motor in my daughters 1991 trx 200D type 2 that does not belong. No clue what year the motor is. Can anyone help with engine serial number info? TE17E-8109420

Go to a Honda dealer. If it's a Honda motor, they should be able to decode the #. Unless it's a Chinese knock off.

Thats what i thought...dealer was no help.
