starter stays engaged after engine starts, and when you turn the key off continues to crank. 05 Polaris sportsman 800

 

IF the starter motor itself is continuing to run,then either the ignition switch may be sticking(a common problem) and needs to be replaced or a wiring short to the switch.Either that or the solenoid has shorted out allowing constant power to the starter which I've had happen also.Both are pretty cheap.http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ignition-Swi...VX45EG&vxp=mtr
