Just wanted to know if anyone has seen these two race?

 

The CDale is not much faster. I raced one last weekend on my stock 01 400ex. Dead even through 4th gear. That bike is all hype! My cousin's uncle beat the C-Dale with a stock Raptor.

Don't get me wrong, it is a nice bike but the "power to weight" doesn't show up in reality the way they say on the C-Dale site. On another note, that thing is the ugliest bike on the tral.

 

How about handling? Does the Cannondale handle better than the 400ex?

 

Wow are you kidding me! I thought for $8000 it would really kill a 400ex. Then if you buy a 400ex for $5700 and spend $1000 on a 416 or 440 kit you have an under $7000 quad that will handle the C-dale.

 

I don't want to be partial, but I like the ex better. That could be because I am used to it, but all in all I would say they are equal in the handling department. It did seem in the drag race I was shifting a lot sooner than he was, so I think I was losing some time there. I think with a little less sprocket, and another 500-1000rpm of rev box I would have had him.

The other thing I noticed was the spark plug was not even visable. I would hate to foul a plug on that bike. He said you have to take off the seat, plastic and tank to change it, and he said it was not that hard.(it looked like a real pain to me) Also, the plastic(although it's ugly)has a nice fit and finish, it had alot more shine to it than my ex. Seems like a nice quad, but there is no way I would pay 8 grand for a bike that is equal to a 400ex, why would you?

It is supposed to be race ready, but a race ready 440ex will eat it up I'm sure.

 

The only reason the "c-dale" is $8000 is because of all the technology. I hope that no one follows in their footsteps by going with another fuel injected quad, because as the technology goes up so does the repair costs.

 

The reason the C-dale is so expencive is it is all hand made. Ijust cant see spending 8000 on a quad.

 

Racer18J, Does that mean your Tecate would beat the C-Dale in a race? Just curious. I also thought they would be a lot faster.

My Tecate would ABSOLUTELY DESTROY a C-Dale! Although my T-4 is far from being stock, it runs circles around my 400ex.

I have raced my cousin's uncle's Raptor and beat him alot. He has trouble getting that beast out of the gate. If he gets a good start it is a close race. Most of the time he can't keep the front end down, my T4 just hauls the mail....quickly!

 

YEAH YEAH I've got a buddy that will tell u that his 400ex is the best thing in the world and that it'll kick anyone's a$$ so it does'nt surprise me that the 400 will beat a cannondale a raptor a ds650 or any other damn thing.
You honda boys keep on tellin everyone how great your 400's are and maybe we'll start believin you,,,,,,,, NOT...
And another thing if u guys should happen to need to go backwards for any reason,,try shiftin into reverse......ohhh yea I forgot u don't have reverse,,,,damn.....aint that a bitch ?????
