I just recently bought a 250R, it has a 310 kit and some high dollar ignition system in it. It has a AAEN header and a DG silencer the motor has been blue printed. I am wanting to put a new header and silencer on it. the ones that are on it are old. The guy I bought it off of trail rode and raced it cross country and said there was no reason to change it just for the looks of it. I was wondering what is the best pipe for an R. I am MX racing it. Also any other hop ups you all can think of is appreciated. I rode a 4 stroke all last year so I dont know to much about all the 2 stroke hop ups. thanks

 

If I were racing an R I'd probally get the FTZ pipe, they have an ad in dirtwheels, look pretty fat.. I think they have a website also??

 

I have the FTZ pipe and so far I am happy with the power it makes in the mid-upper rpm range. Here's a pic of it on my bike....

for MX, its hard to go wrong with the LRD Team B..the FTZ pipes are nice, but more for drag racing, not MX

 

Ooops. I didn't see the mx part! It is a little a scary going through the whoops on the pipe!

 

FTZ definately makes the best drag pipe. I came into this post knowing that i was gonna say FTZ! I'm surprised that many people know about them. My friend has 250R with a 400 FTZ cylinder on it. THat thing books!

 

For MX, LRD is the way to go!!
