Don't lie. How many of you 440 owners can honestly say "I've beaten a experienced riden stock Raptor in a drag". I've raced a few. The 440 can get them off the line in sand through the end of 4th and at the end the Raptor pulls through. Raptors for stock are fast, but I've found DS's faster. No bragging just facts please. I want to see how my 440 stacks up against other 440's around the country.

99'IMS440 12:1, 450/451 cam, ported, stock air w/modded box, DMC.

Try changing your sprockets. See what happens then.

I was at the Sahara dunes on easter weekend and let me tell you what I saw. There was a guy with a piped raptor that could get that thing off the line good enough to keep up with piped banshees. not beating them. Then this other guy pulls up on his 440(16 tooth front, 38 rear) and totally wastes the guy all 1/4 mile.

In the sand I raced a completly stock raptor that just had paddles, with my gearing there was no chance he could catch me. This was up a large dune, with the right gearing on a built 400EX, the Raptor should be no problem.

I've ran my buddies raptor on a paved road and his has a full pro circut exhaust, air filter, modded air box, and its re jetted. The only reason he beat me off the line is because I let him get a roll because it does wheelie extremely easily. He was in the bottom of fifth gear and I in the mid to top of fourth. I'd pull really hard at third gear. My tires are 20 inches tall and the gearing is stock. No B.S.

Dude, how well do you know your "friend" with the Raptor? The reason I'm asking is because, to my knowledge, Pro Circuit does not yet make an exhaust for the Raptor. I've never heard anyone talk of the PC, no place sells one and Pro Circuit themselves don't even advertise a Raptor pipe.

Get an aftermarket carb, like the 39mm FCR and that will help the 440 out a lot.

Opps!.. The site I saw the $500 FCR39 alky carb is at FTZ Racing not GT Thunder. Sorry for the mistake.
