Jetting question 250X
#1
Guys, have a jetting question for you on my wifes 91 250X. Recently installed a Supertrapp 4" Racing series exhaust and K&N filter. I have bumped up the main jet accordingly.
When I start the machine up, it starts immediately however as soon as it warms up, it is very hesitant when giving it gas. If I raise the choke lever to the first notch above "no choke", it runs and throttles just right. To me, it sounds as though it is running lean at 1/8 to 1/2 throttle. My question is what jet is inside the carb that needs to be changed? is it the pilot jet?.
I want to go to the dealer to get a new larger jet but need to know which one it is I need.
Thanks

prob put somthing back in the carb wrong, I had the same pipe b4 I put my 350 motor on, I rejetted like 10 times and I did put somthing just not quite right back once and she acted just like that. I would pull it off again, it only takes like 5 minutes if you have the right stuff.

All fixed, actually I took the entire carb off and dismantled it and cleaned everything including the fuel petcock/assembly that is mounted to the tank.
Put everything back together and all runs just like it should. I am sure that something was partially plugged.
Thanks guys.
