I was looking through my old dirtwheels and i saw it in the readers rides..... It looks liek a cool project. Does anyone know how hard it would be to get that 400 motor in my 30 frame?

 

Do u like to waste money? Puttin a 400 motor in the 300 would be a waste. Your looking at atleast 2k for the motor. The you gotta add on all the frame mods. It be eassier to sell ur 300 and buy a 400ex. It just doesnt make sense to put the 400ex motor into a frame that isnt as big, doesnt handle as well. and isnt made for a engine of that performance. You'd be happoer over all with the 400ex.

or u could get a 330 big bore. i hear their faster than a stock 400

not hard if you know how to weld/fabricate.

 

I could be wrong but I think you can get more power out of a 350x motor(with a few mods) than a 400ex motor. It almost bolts right into your 300ex.

 

I'm on the look out for a good 350x motor all the time anyways.... so if i can fnd one ill put it in.
