looking for a new battery for my 400EX need something that last over a year thinking about getting one with more CCA. How does the yt12a-bs perform? Im thinking about getting this one.

 

You really don't have much choice in CCA, you need to find one that fits your battery compartment size. Buy a brand name like Yuasa, stay away from no name batteries. Unless your charging system is not working correctly or you have a really big draw your battery should easily last two years. If your riding hard you might consider an AGM battery as they take more abuse. My battery is going on its 3rd year and still going strong and it gets used hard, extra lights and runs a winch in the winter for my plow. Thru the cold months I do run a trickle charger to keep it up full for the cold. Most batteries have short lives due to improper maintenance..

Interstate batteries work well. Most batteries should last over a year.
