They make a liquid cooling kit for a blaster why not a 400ex ... They should make one for the 300ex too.

I'd love to see how they added that cooling system, sounds trick but a little pricey.
OK, very pricey

they might have put a whole new head on it. not a borred out 400ex head. that way they can have a new topend with water cooling already built in

10 grand for a Mickey Onelap bike? That's fine if you like rebuilding your quad every month or so.

I saw this bike at the GNCC in SC and talked to the rider. It is a real torquey machine. The liquid cooling was done by removing the cooling fins and then using aluminum sheeting to fab and weld on a water jacket all around the cylinder. A radiator is mounted up front and an electric water pump from a KTM motorcycle is used to circulate the coolant. Pretty trick setup and the rider said so far it has been reliable. Unlike the 720 cc Raptor from FST, which was already canned by the third race of the season. I think the trans would not stay together.

Sounds like backyard engineering. I agree with the previous people posting about it "blowing up". I could understand designing a new cylinder and head to accept liquid cooling, but to modify the existing cylinder design like that is ludicrous! Talk about a lack of understand in heat transfer and fluid dynamics... I don't think that I will ever buy anything that Mickey Dunlap sells now... thank you for the information, that is the kind of stuff that people need to know.
