I am planning to buy an 87 250x with a 92 250x engine. I need to know everything you know about this machine. How it performs in trail riding, mud. Aprox top speed. Im not really looking for a fast machine. Is reliable this ATV?? How much can I pay for it? Do you recomend this ATV??

Well i got a 250x ,a 88 an I keep it when I got my 00'400ex I still love to ride it .They are a good reliable ride ,top speed of mine is about 63,some mods.Mud it loves it ,I got blackwaters on her .I also put a rack on the front now she's my "hunten bike"
Price I would say if it's in good shape 1,000-1,500 wouldn't be out of line "check it over good though-rear axle/a arms/chain/hubs just to see how it was rode an look at the air cleaner it see if it has been servised.good luck

 

it depends where you live over here in california they go anywhere from 1800 to 2500
