First oil Change in my 300EX. What Oil??

I am about to make my first oil change on the 30)EX.
Just wondering what everyone else is dumping in theirs.

I was talking about using mobil1 10w-30 Synthetic and someone said not to use synthetic with a wet clutch.

Is regular old 10W-40 what is preferred.??

I ride the bike hard and push to the rev limiter often. After a good warmup of course...

Thanks for any info.

I was hoping to get it in tonight but it is 5:15pm and only 2:45 of light left.

Honda GN4, 10W-40 winter the winter and 20W-50 during the summer.

I use the exact same blend as Mike has mentioned. Go heavier for summer and lighter for winter. Good luck and enjoy your bike.

As far as i have heard its the exact opposite. You shouldnt use regular auto oil, but the synthetic is ok to use. Or at least thats what i've heard. Either way i think it's all bull because i have been running mobil 1 synthetic since the beginning of last month and haven't had any clutch slippage at all.
At first i got motorcycle oil, but didnt feel like going to the dealer again to get it so i used the mobil 1 this time and it's worked like a charm so far. I have talked to a few people who use the same oil without any problems.

Go to your local honda dealer and get the honda oil. They sell oil for ATVs there fore a purpose.

i am using maxima 20x50 in my 330 right now..good results so far.....execpt for the junk stock rocker arms....not the oils fault

Oil is oil, just because they sell it for $10 a quart and tell you it's for ATV's doesnt mean anything except they are riping you off. I run mobil 1 or valvoline depending on whats available and have done it for over 4 years with not a problem yet.
