I wanted to repay sparks with some bad press for screwing me and and jurking me around . Who ever he has working his phone and taking orders is a IDIOT! My wife called sparks a month ago for me to order a 12.1 ceramic coated piston. (There hard to find for a 416ex.) The guy said about a week. When it did't show she called to check on it, the answer she got was I'm expecting it any day and then I'll call you. Every time she called it was the same B.S. After 3 weeks I called and riped on him and he promised he would have it that week. He said he would call on it and call me back in 2 hours. I called the next day and he said he never said that and he had not checked on it . Pluss it never came in that week in the end and no call . So if you dont want to deal with a moron ad never get your part dont do business with sparks!!!!

Just posting again to keep it towards the top and keep the heat on sparks.I ended up setteling for a 11.1 piston. Who knows maybe I'll be better off. It's a heck of a lot cheaper anyway. I payed 94 dollars for it from moto man.

 

This is the first time I've heard anything bad about Sparks. I know he's real busy during the racing season, as he attends most if not all the races. But that still should not be an excuse for bad business.

 

I've personally never had any experience with Sparks Racing but that's not because I didn't want to. When I had my 440 motor built I originally wanted Sparks to do it. But when I constantly found it impossible to contact them I decided against them. Who wants to deal with someone who you have to leave a message for and then sit and wait around the phone for them to call back?

 

i've been waiting for at least a month for a sparks x-6 pipe for my 416 kit,they always tell me they'll have them in a week.yeah right, i think i'm going to go with the e-series system,i hear it bolts on alot easier and it's almost just as powerful.i know he's busy with nationals and all but he is running a business ya know.

 

Ya here it is tuesday, 4 days after the guy at sparks said they'd have my piston and he'd call me. so thats over a month now and at least half a dozen broken promises and never one phone call from them. I guess they don't need every ones business. Their product had better be far superior to the compitition or they will be out of business at the rate they are going.

If all his motors run like the 440 my friend just got back I wouldn't trust his work either. He's also having a problem getting the X-6 he was promised. Hope that pipe adds about 10hp otherwise he got screwed.

I have to agree with you guys.

I called Sparks a week ago and inquired about a high comp piston, cam and porting for my Raptor. I spoke to S c o t t and he said they were still testing. I told him I needed to know if they would do it or not becuse my cases would be split due to 2nd gear going out. He said "I will talk to Curtis and call you back late today or early tomorrow".

Well it's been 7 days now and NO return call. As you guys mentioned, Sparks will never get my business nor my recommendation!
