I just bought a honda trx250x and it has a an exhaust system and has been rejetted . I need to know some things i can put on it or do to it to make it smoke a 2001 300ex. any comments would be appritiated ! thanks !

Nothing! Even a stock X will beat the 300 since it has a higher compression piston. I raced my friends 300 against my X and we switched machines to see if the results were the same. The EX had the X till 3rd gear and then the X pulled away.

 

Thanks for all the help (ha) I allready have a pipe and jet and mine is not faster than a 300ex! Also are the gear ratios the same on both machines

 

Yes, is it possible that the rider on the ex is a better rider or maybe he is shifting faster/sooner/later?
In reality they should be about the same. The x has a slightly higher compression piston but the ex has more cc's so it should be pretty close. BUT if you have a pipe/jets and still cant smoke him and he's stock then something is wrong because if anything the pipe/jets should definately make you faster than stock.

 

I am having a problem with it though it wont rev up and when i snap the throttle it just goes numb like the choke is on or something . I will try using 93 octane but who knows if that will help! any suggestions would by helpful i just got it and cant figure what is wrong i changed the plug and nuttin! DAMN IT!

 

Well its got an aftermarket exhaust so the carb will probably need rejetted.
