Hey aaron,
According to a manual i have it says something about dowel pins holding the rocker shaft in place. It also says something about them having to be hammered out.
I read it really quickly so i dont have specifics right now.
If what i just said to do doesnt make sense let me know and i'll read it from start to finish and i'll clue you in on what exactly to do.

you have to remove the two little dowel pins with a vise grip, it is real hard two get them out just work them around and around while pulling at the same time
