i have a mild web cam in my 416 and really wanna wake it up wiht a racing cam...i already have heavy duty valve springs....is there anything else i have to do when getting this cam...i also have my rockers hardened..... do you have to shorten valve guides or something or can you basically just put the racing cam in as long as the arms and springs are right?..... and if you have a racing cam, do you like it? tell me stuff about it like stuff you have raced or the difference it made....etc etc...thanks for any help....and how much would you guess it would cost to put just the cam in? including the cost of cam.......

I have a race cam, but it is in a fully built 440. So I can't really help you. I will say that with my high compression 440 I can feel the effect of the cam at higher revs. It almost feels like a turbo. I didn't put my cam in all my work was professionally done, but it seems to me like you are ready for the cam with the rockers and springs. Maybe, you should think about a stronger cam chain.

ILL TRY AND HELP YOU, NO ONE ELSE IS .SEE GO WITH A STRONGER CHAIN BY SPARKS RACING, HARDEN THE ROCKERS TO HELP REDUCE WEAR, PUT STIFFER SPRINGS , RETAINERS ,BIGGER VALVES IF YOU WANT AND PUT A 3WAY BUTTERFLY CUT.

SEE i had different setups as well i had a stock bore with a cam . If you get a race cam you will prob notice a differance. With the 440 kit i had the race cam it ran ran good.Now i have a 465 and got a even wilder cam it runs fast still working out little things almost got it when its running right it will kill.
