ALright, my tires are completely worn down from doin to many burn outs on the pavement. Though it looked cool doin it then, now i need new tires. Right now i have stockers, whenever i hit some loose ground or hit a rut and then give it some throttle, the tire start spinnin but the atv stays were it is. I love goin muddin, and since i installed a high lifter performance packeage, my rev limiter kicks in real early and i want more top speed. I'm lookin for tires are around the 24 inch sizes. I'm not sure if they will fit but i'm gonna do some fender trimmin to make em fit. i'm not sure if i should go taller skinnier tires, or short fat ones. this guy, http://www.highlifter.com/wheeler_de...hp3?detail=501 is runnin 22x12.5 all around on a recon. I'm wonderin about that setup. Has anyone tried this? does it screw upo the steerin real bad? any info would be good.

THE REGULAR TSL'S DO FINE. I KNOW A FELLA THAT HAS A RANCHER 2WD AND THEY DO A AWESOME JOB. aNOTHER TIRE OF CHOICE WOULD BE A DIRTDEVIL. THEY ARE VERY LIGHT (ALMOST SAME AS FACTORY) THEY HAVE EXCELLENT TREAD DEPTHNESS AND THEY ARE PRICED GOOD.

There could be a slight problem there. As much as I hate to admit it the Recon's small little motor can't handle that type of size of tire. Sure you can do it and I've seen it done but you stated that you want more top speed well you'll lose even more speed with those tires. To get that top speed back you'll need a pipe and a K&N Power Kit. I put smaller 20" on mine with a pipe and a jet kit and now tears it up. I hope my info helps on your decision.

Well since you have the HL performance kit you could probally go with 24's. A taller tire will give you more top end speed but less torque. And you wouldnt need wide tires on the front because you have 2wd, I would go with the skinniest tire possible for the front.
