Honda TRX250R

I'll give you a brief history and description. Suzuki may began the hi-performance quad world, but Honda mastered it with their 250R... The Honda 250R is a machine that was made from 1986-1989, the 250r was, and still is the most succesful racing ATV in every type of racing. If you take a look at the GNC and GNCC races, literally atleast 95% of the quads are 250Rs. There were a couple minor changes from '86 to '87. The 250R's hi-performance competition included Suzuki's LT250R, Kawasaki's Tecate-4, and Yamaha's Banshee. Although the Tecate-4s and Banshees are said to have a little more power, no quad could reach the overall level of the Honda. It was also voted as the hands-down best quad ever by all ATV mags, as it handles better than any ATVs in all conditions, including the latest models for that matter. Several companies have made frames that are based directly on the 250r's. OK, you asked about the complaints. As for complaints, you won't be hearing them. Riders who just want to have a nice slow cruize with their friends may be better off with a 4 stroke, but most sport riders would prefer the overall feel of a snappy 2-stroke engine. When it came out, this red & white rocket was truly revolutionary to the ATV industry. Now, to find one mostly stock, in excellent condition for a decent price is like finding a needle in a haystack. If you plan on finding one, good luck, your best bet would be any larger cities. Whew, I just ramble on while talking about quads. E-mail me if you'd like to know more, as I'd be glad to help you out some more.
