I know this is going to start all kinds of debates, but my semi stock 300ex beat my buddies modified warrior yesterday. I have got a K&N filter and moved the needle up one pos. and put on a 14 tooth front sprocket, "BIG DIFFERENCE". He has FMF complete exaust K&N filter and jet kit, holes in his air box, works shocks all the way around and heavy duty heim joints for tie rod ends, with stainless steel tie rods. He went to today to order a 14 and 15 tooth sproket, talk about fumin, wait till project 700exr is rollin, raptor boys here i come.

what size rear tires are you running with your 14 tooth sprocket?

I have 20" bandits for the trails and 22" paddles for the dunes. if I put a 14 tooth on what would my low end be like when I got those 22" paddles on? would I still be able to wheelie?

I have the stock tires right now. It seems as though I do not even use 1st with the stock gearing but now with the 14 tooth frt spk it is somewhat usable, still a little low geared for my taste, also I do not do any dune riding, I ride mostly hills, and trails, with dirt or a little mud. I ride on my mx track as well. I believe the stock tire size is a 22", and I can still pull 3rd gear wheelies easy, maybe easier than stock, it seems that the new sprocket has either put the bike in a better part of the power band for wheelies or that it just dosn't spin as much any more, but regardless i can still pack'm.

i saw that when i put a 14 tooth front sprocket on i could pull easier wheelies also.. what i hink is happening is that the bigger sprocket made the tres move close to th bike because you have to loosen you chain and move the tires closer wich meens shorter wheel base and that meens more wheelies!

My 300ex with minor mods whooped a modded out Warrior.
My 300ex has...
-K&N Air Filter
-K&N Jet Kit
-Holeshot tires
-White Brothers Exhaust
-AC Racing Nerfs
-AC Racing Skid
-DG Front Bumper
-Bicycle Speedometer

Other different things just none that affected speed.

The warrior had...
-K&N Air Filter
-K&N jet kit
-Bored 30 over
-Works Shocks all around
-Bandit Tires All around
-Weisco Piston
-Durablue Extended Rear Axel
-Pro Circuit Exhaust
-AC Racing Nerfs
-Ac Racing Front Bumper
-Extended A-arms

Plus much much more. It was pretty much a racing warrior. My 300ex smoked it. And no the rider didn't suck...he was pretty good.
