ok ok i have some jetting questions

i have a nice cut out in midrange and topend.

when i nail it hard, it just bogs and cuts.

It is running a tad bit lean. I restricted the filter a little, and it helped that some. I know i need a bigger main.

But for the needle clip. What way do i need to move it? It just cuts out.like its getting no gas.

I'm pretty sure if you move the needle clip up thats the richer setting. If that doesn't work go down. If all else fails get the new main jet and a size bigger jet needle. By the way what jetting are you running? I'm just wondering what ball park I'm going to be in once I get my 250X turned into a 330. I'm getting all the same mods as you but I'm using an EX rod to get some extra cc's.

 

145 main right now.

I am going to totally rejet as soon as i get the money for the kit.

I am just going to play around with it right now.

Money is way too tight. Car insurance ect..

 

I run a 160 main in a 400EX carb on my 330EX. I would think that you are WAY to lean on that 145. What elevation are you at?

i was told that would be fine..stuck my air box lid on, ran way rich..took it off in 50 degree it was fine. now it started this in 70-90 degree weather.

 

I would get some advice from someone other than Mickey Onelap. Sounds WAY to lean to me......................

Ever think that it cuts because the 145 isnt giving it enough fuel?
