FYI--Broken Headlight on 400EX
#1
The headlight assy on my 400EX vibrated loose and the gray plastic around one of the 2 mounting nuts wound up completely wearing away so the nut & bolt fell out.
I just heard from my Honda dealer that this IS COVERED by the extended warranty....as long as you haven't driven the quad into a tree or something similar.
That's a $150+ part to replace, and apparently it happens quite a bit, so keep this in mind before you buy a new one or try to fix it yourself...

MIA400EX,
How did you like your power increase with your piston and cam? I am having similar mods done to mine, and would like to know if it's a totally different machine, with a lot of useable power. Let me know what you thought of your quad after the motor work. Thanks a lot.

Changing topics...
I have made several posts as to the difference in my 400EX with the mods listed below....it is a *totally* different machine, a sleeper 400EX with power that can scare me again---and that's all that matters!!
Without repeating everything I said in the other posts, I can EASILY walk away from a modified QuadRacer 250r and can keep up with and sometimes pull both a QuadRacer 500 and a DS650 in 300+yd straight line drags.
According to the shop that did all the work (for <$1k), I am in mid-30's for HP...and it totally feels like it. It pulls HARD 1st gear right thru 5th. (unlike a stock 400EX, where 5th has almost no pull)
