How do you pull the baffle out of a stock 300ex pipe. My friend wants to pull his but there seem to be two spot welds holding it in. Would it hurt the pipe if we ground the spot welds off, or would it not matter? Any suggestions on how to get it out are welcome!

Yes you have to grind the tack welds off, and no it doesnt hurt anything. I did the same thing when i was using my stock exhaust

It doesn't help anything.

In fact, you will loose hp. This four stroke needs correct back-pressure. The stock muffler provides it.

The stock 300EX muffler is big, but very effective and not restrictive. The headpipe IS restrictive.

The best, cheapest power gain would be a different headpipe with the stock (intact) muffler.
