This past Sun night (6/3) as I was coming back from the GNC in Georgia my 400EX was stolen out of my truck at the Hotel in Nashville, Tenn. If you are in that area would keep a lookout for it,please. It has Maier yellow plastic with black number plates with the nmber 613 or 63. It also, has a Desert clear IMS gastankwith Pro taper handlebars and White Brothers shockes on the front. The main thing to look for is the maier plastic, I have not seem many 400's with that kind of plastic. They cut 3 cables to get it, 3/8 and 1/2 in size. State Farm will not cover it being that I did not have seperate insurance on it.
When you are riding in the next few weeks keep an eye out for it, being that I do not live in that area.

Just wanted to bring this so that it would be current so that people could watch out for it this weekend. I can only hope for the best.

I live in Ohio, but I have friends in Nashville. If you could, would please post the serial #, and your Phone number and the year of the bike? I just bought a brand new 400ex in January and I don't know how I would feel if it were me, but I think I would be very upset.

I will have my buddies keep an eye on the paper for 400ex's for sale, maybe they can pretend to be interested and go and get the serial # for you. Hope I can help!!!!!!!!!

Check your e-mail and you will find some more info on the Quad.
The main thing to watch out for is the Maier yellow plastic and the clear dessert IMS gas tank.
I can only hope that it shows up.

It might worth your while to get a second opinion on the insurance. Someone once broke into my wife's car and stole tools and other items that I usually kept at home. I cannot remember why, but I remember that my insurance covered it.

A good insurance agent will find a way to pay your claim while a poor one will look for the first reason not to.

Man I would check out your insuance a lot deeper. Anything being carried in the box of your truck SHOULD BE COVERED!! It is here in Canada anyways. Same as hauling a trailer behind your truck...is covered by your truck insurance. If they don't cover you then it's time to change your insurance agent.

They are telling me that if it is a motor vehicule it has to have it own insurance in my state. They say that it is the same as a boat. If you have it in a enclosed trailer it is not insured unless you have insurance on the contents. I found out the hard way that what you think is true(insured) is not. Your quad is not insured in your garage on your homeowner's unless it is only used on that piece of property for working like a ridinglawn mower not sport riding.Same as a boat stored in your garage.

Hey man, sorry to hear about your quad. Just wanted to let you know that I got burned the same way. I had a 99' Arctic Cat 600 sitting in my father's front yard for sale. I was trying to sell it just after summer and had no insurance because I had just pulled it out of storage. Some F$%*!*# punks came and cut the chain and stole it late one night. I figured that my father's homeowners insurance would cover it.....same thing. I lost big time on it. Just wanted to let you know that I feel your pain. Also, this will keep the message on top.
