I am interested in putting a steering damper on my '95 300EX and was wondering what everyone thought was the best model. I noticed several of you list the PEP model as mods on your quads. Where does this fasten and is the dampening adjustable?

The PEP adjust by changing the position of the damper shaft where it connects to the steering tube. It really just changes the leverage the damper exerts and can't be adjusted quickly. It's a fairly low tech setup (compared to the Denton I have on the 400) but works well. I had to jerry rig the installation. I couldn't make it work the way the instructions said (the Denton was an installation nightmare!).

I got mine used off of a friend. I really don't know what brand it is, so I just call it a Pep. It clamps to the steering stem and then connects to the front engine mounts. Mine has 3 adjustments.
