What is the top end speed on both of them.I really want one or the other.Im 5 foot 9 so which would be better?

 

No one is going to tell you which one to buy. First, you did not tell your age, riding ability, ect. The 250EX is a beginners type quad with auto transmission. The 300EX has more power and manual trasmission. The manual vs. auto is the biggest differnce that should be taken into consideration. They are both nice quads to own and would be fun to ride. The edge would go to the 300EX though, for more experience riders

 

i gotta go with the 300ex,, i own one, and i rode my freinds 250ex, and they dont really compare if you ask me,, but i'm an experienced rider, and the 250ex is for beginners... the 300ex is cheap to make go really fast, and easy to work on,, go for the 300ex,, i think it's your best bet

ride a mojave! they are faster and more powerful than a 300ex. plus they have liquid cooling which means no overheating which means longer engine life. dual overhead cams which means higher revving, more power. just an overall better quad. some people will complain that it has a kick starter but if you are going to complain about that, you need to get a polaris becuase shifting is too much work too. Also, the kawi is 800 dollars less. put 800 dollars into it and you will give alot of ATV's major comp.

P.S. not bashing honda. they make great reliable quads just the mojave is more bang for the buck.

The 250ex has an automatic clutch, not transmission, you still have to shift, just don't have to use the clutch.

Either one should be a nice wheeler, I would think that the 250 would get old fast?

Mojaves are nice wheelers but 300ex's are nicer (my opinion) I tried out a nice mojave and was less than impressed, it looked like a bada$$ sport quad but sure diddnt feel like one..

 

well since you know so little about them then you should probably get the 250EX becasue it is just a slightly modified recon and the 300EX is no utility . you would probably be scared of it . sounds like somebody needs to do some research before asking such a question . You dont compare cars and trucks for mudding , thats wat compareing the 250ex and the 300ex is like
