300ex Vs. warrior

Corry, I'd have to agree with you on the thing about the 300EX getting more respect than the Warrior, but after riding my friend's Warrior, I really don't see why. I REALLY like that thing, especially coming off from a 600+lb. Xplorer. It was fast, it was light, it wheelied pretty well, and, having never driven a with manual clutch before, that was definately enjoyable. Also, the Warrior is a 350, not a 250. I think that was just a typo, though, seeing as how you owned one, lol.
hnda400ex, the best advice I can give you is to have him drive both of them and see which one he likes more. However, if he's your "little" brother, I'd have to say right now that my vote goes to the Warrior. It's not too big, and its got reverse, so if he gets into a tight situation, he's not gonna be SOL because he can't pick it up and move it by himself. Plus, its hard to go wrong with a 6-speed tranny

i would have to disagree with you 660R01 , this is one thing more bulletproof then the warrior ,the 300ex lol . and also i would just like to say i love muddin my 250X it is totally different then them slow 4x4 s just put it in 3rd and hold it to the pin ! I hate deep mud but about 8inches of really thick mud is awesome 30ft rooster tails !

i have a 2000 warrior with a 400 big bore kit with a white bros cam and cam shaft and it'll smoke a 300ex easly and it'll stay wit a 400 ex fine. before when it was all stock it still killed the 300 ex.
the warrior has a easier reverse system,6 gears instead of 5 gears on the 300ex so it goes much faster and also has better lights.the warrior has only one main weakness and its the shocks, i'll admit that the 300ex has better shocks then the warrior .
2000warrior
big bore 400 kit
white bros cam and cam shaft
bandit front& rear tires
k&nn air fiter
full dg skid plates
dg bumper and grab bar
dg nerf bars
renthal bars

i own a 300ex, i take mine threw mud all the time the thing kicks a lot of **** in the mud.
with its stock tires it had 5.5inches of ground clearance thats a bit higher then yamahas.
i've heard from my friends who have both warrriors and 300exs and ride together that the 300ex is better on the trails, and handles a lot better.
also my friends warrior is always in the shop, 300ex is never.
the warrior is probably 2-5mph faster but thats not much of a difference.
bottom line the 300ex is a better choice becuase in the long run it will cost u less

I had a Warrior for years. It's an OLD TIRED DESIGN and Yamaha needs to replace it! The only way I can recommend one is if you are a beginner AND to large for the 300. Find a used one that is REAL CHEAP. DO NOT buy a new one, otherwise Yamaha will keep building these things forever. Ride it for a year until you know what you are doing, then sell it to another beginner and buy a more modern bike.

well, I once decided between a warrior and 300ex and got a 300ex. I really wouldn't suggest either. If it's his first quad get a 250ex or something smaller. If it's his second quad just get a 400ex or high end quad. Those that say you need more experience is ABSOLUTE BULL. It took me 2 rides to get comfortable with my 300ex and I had a TRX125 for a year and a Recon for a year. I could've easily handled a 400ex but didn't get it cuz I was cheap. Not that the 300ex isn't fun. There is no reason for me to have a 400ex but I would definitely prefer it. The 300ex does everything I ask it to [except for when I get it stuck in the mud, and only a 4x4 would help]. For me a 400ex would offer little benefits because I can't get my 300ex at it's top speed anyways because there just isn't that much room. But I suggest a high-end quad, but if you have to decide between the 2, as always I'd suggest the 300ex.

beastly400warrior...of course a warrior with a 400 big bore kit is gonna kill a 300. That common sense. Its already close when both atvs are stock, but when one of them gets some engine mods, that one is gonna win. If you put a 400 big bore kit and all that other junk you mentioned on a 300, I bet the 300 would be right with the warrior to. Speed isn't everything either. If the ATV is hard to handle, you ain't gonna get to use the speed. Plus the 300ex is a 282cc engine and staying beside a 300+ cc engine. Thats good. Well since I don't know the exact CC of a warrior, we'll just say 300 cc vs 350 cc. The superb handling of the 300 allows the atv you use all of its power. If it didn't have as good handling, suspenion, design, etc, it wouldn't be as fast. The 300ex is better handler, no doubt. Almost everyone would agree. The 300ex does have better suspension. Almost everyone would agree. The 300e is more reliable, not saying that the warrior isn't, but the 300ex is more reliable. Almost everyone would agree. I'm getting tired of putting that, so I'm gonna shorten it to AEWA. The 300ex reverse/choke position sucks. EVERYONE would agree. The 300ex is underpowered, but still cranks out a nice bit. AEWA. If he isn't gonna use 2-5 mph, which he probably won't, get the 300ex. It will save you some money and can do exactly what a warrior can do. Or should I say, the warrior can do almost what the 300ex can do! Ha...I'm a honda fan people, so get over it.
