<< can we find out when Madras is reopening? >>

You can call the owner, Troy Nieman, he can tell you the latest info. He's in the phone book ( I hate giving out personal phone numbers on the internet!).

I don't remember seeing a Mojave race at Madras. Did you race there?

I haven't ever done an official race. I am going to when I get a new quad. Is your 250R the one that was on the "Fist of Fun Dirtbikes" site? Is that site still up? Can I race out there if I am on a bigger quad than the "recommendations" are? You still haven't said if you know anyone with a quad for sale.

In other words, you're under 16.

Don't talk the talk if you can't walk the walk, kiddo. It's easy to boast online where you feel anonymous. Unfortunately, it also means that people know you for what you say, not who you are. If you don't talk nice, others will disrespect you.

Don't try to come off sounding tough if you don't have any muscle to back it up. You end up sounding stupid. Just a little friendly advice.

The reason I haven't responded to your request about anything that was for sale was because I don't have any quads for sale. I've had both of my 250R's since 1990, and I plan on keeping them, along with the Banshee, the '86 R, the Tecate with the KX500 engine and all the rest of the bikes we own. Yes I ride them, and no, I'd never try to come off sounding like I am the fastest thing out there. No matter how fast you are, there's always someone faster -- especially if you're on a Mojave.

I never intended to make myself sound like a pro or anyhting. The first quad I ever rode on was a 250R. I can ride pretty good, thats all I am saying. Oh yeah, please don't call me "kiddo". Anyway do you have to be over 16 cause I am onlu 14. Did you buy that KX500 tecate from a guy in Christmas Valley or did you build it?

I know that I"m only 16, but it still really bothers me when kids are disrespectfull to adults. I know it sounds stupid coming from me, but what is going on with kids lately??? They seem to be going at eachother and when I was their age we never did anything like that!! so what's going on!!!!!(especially the attitude)

Ya know, i think we all knew kids who "did things like that", we just knew we weren't one of them!

When I think back -- a really loooooooong time ago -- when I was in school, I can remember many instances of certain punks always being rude and disrespecting teachers, other students, adults.

I can even remember doing some pretty obnoxious things myself, just not all the time!

It just looks worse when you see it from the outside looking in. It's easy to say "kids these days!" I just don't think kids today are that much different from kids I went to school with back in the 70's and 80's.

We built it, actually, we had a friend who does lots of conversions do it for us. He's built four or five LT500/GSXR 1100 conversions. This one was just a "little" project for him!
