I have said it before, it really depends on the rider. But, I personally think that they are prectically dead even. With the warrior, you get more displacement but sacrifice the weight. With the 300 you get the light weight and better handling, but sacrifice the displacement.
This past weekend I was up in Northern Wis. and I was on the trail with a couple of warriors. My 300 actually took them, not only in the sand, but also through the mud and more technical parts. It is quite possible that they may not have been great riders, but they looked rather experienced. Who knows though. People in this forum, like many others and myself, are biased...so expect to hear a lot about the 300.
just my $0.02

Speaking from experience; when I had my 98 Warrior I would race all stock 300ex's. One person a a pipe and a jet kit on his. 1st-5th dead even, but once I hit 6th gear I would pull away. Both are great machines, but I found that the 300ex was a tad bit on the small side for my pleasure.
