Texian Fury: You have too much time and ambition for your own good. Leave the tranny alone as these mods are not worth the money and work. Put your money on fixing what you know is wrong with it, IE. first class top end rebuild. Also if spark plug fouling is a problem, replace the carburator slide needle and the little jet you can see from inside the carb bore (needle jet set in Honda speak), available as a kit from your dealer. the needle jet gets ovaled from the needle sliding up and down in it and will cause rich running, poor idling and regular spark plug fouling. Common problem in mid 80's Hondas, recent models use a hardened , instead of brass needle jet, and I don't see this anymore. If these parts are wore , you won't believe how nice it runs when replaced. Have fun!!
