What can i do to beat a raptor without doing motor work on my 400ex??I have a pipe with K&N power kit and a 16 tooth front sprocket. What else should i do to make it as fast as a raptor?

 

Rev-limiter, but w/o motor work (Cam, piston, etc.) I don't believe you'll beat a Raptor in a straight line drag. But you have the quad already to win in the woods.

 

i got a white bros pro meg full system, 16 tooth sprocket, k&n filter and jet kit with a 170 main and i run about 72-73 with the lid on havent been clocked with lid off been reallly muddy round here lately im sure i can get at least one more mph with the lid off and raptors only run 71 stock....

 

Get a mongoose... It will eat the raptor

Sell your 400Ex And Buy a Banshee!!

 

there are a few ways to beat the rartor that are free and easy
1) take the raptors gas no gas no go
2) knock the raptor guy off his fourwheeler
3) Flaten his tires , he wont be going anywhere fast

 

The only thing you gotta do is wait for the Raptor's carbs to pop off and 2nd gear to let go. :-0

Branrulz, how did you measure the speed of your 400ex?

 

i was running wide open beside my buddie's montero sport and he was running between 72 and 73 and i have a speedometer on my ex that i got from walmart and it said 73.4 mph.... this was with the lid on.... less air, less hp

 

According to Dirtwheels the top-speed is 71 MPH.They are never real accurate with top-speeds. How much was your Speedo? And how hard was it to put on yur EX? I am getting a 400EX and want to put one on their.
