Besides color, has anything changed in the 300EX's 8 year history (not including 250X->300EX)

yes. some things have. for one is the carb went from 29mm->32mm in 99. I'm not going to go and research the totality of this answer. Why don't you do some research to answer this topic yourself.

i agree with you but the honda dealer is just out to sale the machein and make extray money he will say what it will take to sell you machine.am i right

 

For the most part, YES. the dealer (Most of them) will try anything to sell a machine from their showroom, and put down the competetor. However, there are a few who actually care.

 

Ask your local ATV shop (NOT A HONDA DEALER) what has changed.

I know on 400EX's quite a bit of minor motor-related things have changed in the short life of the 400EX, and yet the Honda guys always say "nope, nuthin's changed but the graffix"....BS....they don't have a clue. Their service shop/parts dept MIGHT know...

They've modded the 400EX's jetting and intake manifold design to name a couple.

 

My local dealership from my farm is full of high priced, mother lovers interested in making money. So, for big things, I drive farther and into a more lousy area to get the important info and things I need, but now I just do most of my shopping online. Thank You very much Rocky Mountain ATV.
