will a 300EX keep up with a Banshee in the woods?

Ok, so where do we draw the line??? A 300EX is an excellent machine, no doubt about that and so is a Banshee. Each has strengths and weaknesses.
But from the reasoning I'm seeing so far is that an LT80 could keep up with a Banshee in tight woods. Get my point? You have to draw the line someplace and say "no quad A is just simply slower than quad B".
So the question I have is "Where do you draw the line... at a 250ex, a Blaster, an LT80???"

from what garyc660R said, yes, a LT80 could keep up. Anything and everyone can stay together on 10 mph speed. I'd say a 250ex wouldn't be able to keep up. It can't come out of the corners as fast and does accelerate as quick as the banshee and 300ex and the rest of the sport quads. A blaster, yes, it can. Those things have great acceleration and will go pretty fast. I don't have a clue how a kawasaki majave would do, but I would almost bet that a Lakota Sport could keep up. I riden a lakota, not a lakota sport, and it rides pretty good, and has a pretty decent top speed.

97300exguy...why get all bent out of shape? Do you wanna hear the 300ex is faster than anything in the woods?
THE 300EX IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST WOODS ATV EVER! EVER! There you go! It means nothing to me, I am simply speaking from experience. I have rode many 300ex's. The 300ex is a great atv and I am not bashing it.
When the pace picks up, the 300ex simply can't run with more powerful, better handling atv's. This is simple as 1-2-3. This is why the 400ex exists, it picks up where the 300ex leaves off.

I ride desert with a bunch of Shees. People think desert riding is just flying down washes wide open. Well, there is plenty of trail riding out there, and the Banshee boys just have to SUFFER when we hit the tight stuff. First of all, most of their power is wasted spinning their wheels and the Shee is too long to make even a passable trail bike. The guys I ride with are older. When they bought their bikes, the Shee was the only game in town. They haven't caught on that there are a whole slew of new performance 4-strokes out there, and I'm not going to remind them!

now your just beeing a smart A%% garyc. I'm not bent out of shape...I made a simple comment. It was just telling people (like you) to leave the 300ex alone. Its like all you people with bigger ATV's think we should have one. have you ever thought that we don't want one? Or maybe we can't afford one? And I can promise you that if you ever came down here and rode, I would be all over your tale with my little 300ex. I don't think you would like it if I started bashing your POS raptor. For one, raptors are to tall and narrow to be race quads. I wouldn't buy one of them if my life depended on it. I'm not a Honda only guy, but I wouldn't buy a raptor. I would go back to a Honda 90 before buying a CRAPTOR. Also, I didn't say that the 300ex was the fastest in the woods. Your saying its a slow machine that can keep up with anything going 10 mph. Until a faster ATV hits a straighaway, a 300ex will be right with it. On a straightaway it still isn't going to get blown away, sure its going to get beat, but the 300ex isn't much slower than any other quad out there. My point, leave my 4-wheeler alone...not mine in particular, but what it is. A 300ex...thats what I have...and if you want to come down here and race me through the woods, I'll be waiting. I'll show you that you wasted $7000 on a quad when you could have paid a whole lot less and got the same results.

Way to go guys! I guess he never rode a Banshee in the woods. Yes it is faster in a straght line, but it takes a skilled rider to make one go fast in the woods. I know from experience. My brother had one with FMF pipes, boost bottle and reed spacers. It was fast until the trail made a sharp turn or had a off camber rut. He spent more time restarting it than riding it in the woods. Also for all you people how think a 300EX is so slow tell that to the 41 riders who finshed behind me in the Flat River Grand Prix. I finished 13th out 54 riders who were on Banshees, 250R, and 250Xs.
