I am lookin for a nice used 400ex, i found one for 4200 dollars, would this be a good price or should i pass on it. thanx.

 

I paid 4800 for mine in March. But I think the going price is about 4200- that's what I see them in the paper for-....

Make sure you look it over real good. Look for signs of rolling and bent frames.

 

I paid $4350 for mine last April, 3 months after he bought it for $6100 with helmet which he thru in. Gotta love the AK market ajustment, and the sucker willing to eat that much off the top.

 

And by last April I ment 2000 not 2001.

i would have to agree with 97300exguy it dose depend a lot on the year

 

i have a used 2000 for 4200$. it has bandit tires, sticker kit, modded pipe, 5 angle valve job, shaved and flowed head, twist throttle, and a white brothers cam. the quad has hardly been ridden. one weekend on the ice and about 3 weekends up in norhtern WI.

i would DISAGREE with 97300exGuy and kkkiller300ex because who gives a flyin !@#$ about the year its the condition ! a 01 that was totally beaten to hell and tortured would be worth LESS then a 99' in good condition . so that theory is BS . I have an 87' 250X that is in better condition then a kid i know who has a 01' 300ex so year is nothing in this case condition is everything !
