DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY GOOD RACING STORIES?

This isn't that exciting but it made me mad. My last MX, last weekend, i decided i was going to jump the finish line. Its a 90' Tabletop. It rises towards the end, therefore making a hump. I came up just a bit short, and landed on the hump with my rear tires. It blew the bead on my tire, and i finished the race (2 laps) with one good tire. Before my second moto, i reseated (or so i thought) the bead, and went out to race my second moto, and within two laps the tire came off again. I finished with a DNF. I bought a set of beadlocks, and am going to run my first MX on them tonight.

Two weeks ago, I went down to Brainerd, MN for the weekly MX race at the fairgrounds. They had a tornado a week or so before, so the races were cancelled but I din't know it. Anyway, my wife and I talked to another guy that showed up, and he said we should go on down to Little Falls, since we were only 40 miles away. The races were just about starting when we pulled in, but I had time to sign in and watch a few bike races. I also got to watch the sport quad class (Blasters and 300EXs, etc.)
I figured I had a pretty good idea of what the track was like. I ran the first heat race as a practice. After two laps, I thought I knew the track well enough to start jumping more seriously. Well, there is a small-ish table top type jump right before a 90 left corner, that happens to have a big old mogul (about 3 feet high) right in the inside of the corner. You can either slow way down and take the inside over the mogul, or you can keep the speed up and go wide outside the corner. I forgot about the mogul, and just nailed the table top right before it. I was hard on all the brakes coming into the mogul corner. When I hit the mogul with all the brakes locked, I did an endo over the top. It was right in front of the east end of the grand stand so a bunch of people were a hoot'n at me! I got back on and kept going, but I finished down around 10 out of 13.
Now last friday I crashed in nearly the same spot. Except this time it was a little after the corner. There is a small double that I can just barely get the momentum to clear right after the mogul. I went wide around the outside so I could get a run at the double. A Banshee took the inside over the mogul, then went wide to the outside when he hit the double. He kind of angled over in mid air and we hit at the apex. He was able to keep straight, but my quad got spun sideways, and I landed sideways and flipped. Toni got most of that on video, but when I crashed she freaked and dipped the lens, so we didn't get the complete tumble! Bummer!!!
