Everyone knows the High Performance class is booming, but what about the Sport class. All the quads haven't changed since they were made. Sure there have been the Lakota Sport and the 250EX, but I am talking about the manual clutch portion. The only thing happening to those are new graphics. Heck the biggest news of the year for the Sport's has been that the 300EX comes in Yellow now. And that the Warrior and Blaster have new handlebars. What does everyone else think?

There are things that need to be changed on all the quads the 300EX needs a new reverse procedure and choke location, and maybe a little more power, even though I think it has plenty. Here are changes needed to the others:

Warrior: New suspension settings. Needs to be brought into this century.
Airbox needs to be redesigned along with the chain adjustment.

Mojave: Needs electric start. Needs to be lighter. Longer swingarm. More power

Blaster: Wider and longer, more room. better suspension.

if you guys cant handle the reverse lever and your going to whine about a kikstarter then you shouldnt be riding ! also if quads were factory perfect then we wouldnt have NACS , LSR , PRO CIRCUIT , FMF , WHITE BROS , LEAGERS , WORKS , AXIS , TCS , BUGGAURD , BARNETT , RENTHAL , TAG , MOOSE , DG , AC , GRAYDON PROLINE , DOUGLAS , CHAMPION , PRO DESIGN , KROMELITE , K+N , UNI , BIG GUN , DENTON , AZONTICS ,AND SO MUCH MUCH MORE ! half the fun is decking it out not just riding .

Dood-
Why do you think Honda renamed their quads "SPORTrax"? Because they consider the 400EX, along with the 300EX and 250EX to be *SPORT* Quads.

Yes, the 400EX has high-performance handling, but its power is mid-high-performance...or high-SPORT performance. Even if Honda releases another new quad, I guarantee it will be a SPORTrax...

I have SERIOUS doubts that Honda will ever make a high-performance Quad linup equal to the RACING/HI-PER. specs of their CR-Motocross bikes. We'll see...

I do agree with you, however, that the manufacturers had better start improving the Sport models year by year (like they did in the 80's), otherwise, sales will drop...now that there are more, and better choices out there.

if u guys are gonna **** ur pants about having to do something tricky to get in gear or have to use a kickstarter, theres a simple fix DONT BUY THAT FOUR WHEELER. ive had to use a kickstarter everytime to start my four wheeler. it has electric start but the gears stripped but u dont hear me complainin about it. it must be that u guys that are bitchin are worried about breakin nails or somethin. us SERIOUS riders dont think twice about it.

let me get this straight. I would like to see some changes to some of the Sport quads and automatically I am not a serious rider? Sounds kind of screwy to me. I don't mind kick starting but I would much rather have electric start any day. Without change the sport quads are going to start losing sales to the new and updated High-Performance quads. In the last 3 years there have been 4 new High Performance machines and what has the Sport division got? 2 new automatic clutch beginners quads. Not to bash anyone who own them, heck I like them, but they are not manual-clutch quads I would like to see. So if I am not a serious rider because I would like to see some new models well then so be it.

Just got back from the track and an update I'd like to see is better shocks for the 300EX. Well either that or I should time my doubles better . Seriously though, the front shocks bottom out too fast, even if you do have the rebound set all the way. Looks like I'm gettin works shocks after all.
