Best 250R shocks for sand dunes??
#1
Looking for aftermarket shocks for the 250R I just bought, I like to jump and want to ride it as fast as possible. I was told to stay away from zero preload types like TCS SCS and PEP ZPS because they sag way into their travel and are better suited for track racing, smoother terrain big jumps, etc.. what do you think?? I was leaning toward TCS or Works Pro Series Piggyback. Thanks!!

You may want to re-research the theorys on sagging shocks. I don't think you'll find any other vehicle in motorsports that uses a shock that doesn't sag, other than a stock quad.
Sag is your friend, why? Because it stretches out in the air for full travel upon landing a jump, but still allows some suspension travel to "drop out" from under the quad in low spots in the terrain. It also lowers your center of gravity.
Keep in mind what the suspension's biggest job is to keep the tires in contact with the ground. When the tires are on the ground, you'll get a smoother, more controlled ride. If your shocks are topped out, they can't drop into the low spots, which means your tires lose contact with the ground in these areas.
