400ex question???

I had my 400ex floating in 4 feet of water. I thought it was a little puddle and then I fell into the hole. A lot of jeeps do mud runs where I ride- and obviously- this was a hole made by a jeep.
So as soon as I went under- I jumped off the back of the atv and held the throttle wide open to keep the engine from stalling- and I kept pushing until I reached the mud bank. I was lucky nothing got in the engine (from what I know)-... I'm sure a little something got in there. My K&N airfilter was soaked and the airbox was full of water. It had trouble getting air from the soaken filter.
So to answer your question-
....As deep as you want. Put some floatation devices on and maybe some extra long paddles and you have an amphibous cruizer!
