well, i just bought a 250EX, and well i need to know what would be the best thing for me to do that would make me run as quick as a 300EX, i already have a Twin Air, air filter. where could i get a good pipe?

 

Its going to take more than a filter and pipe to beat a 300ex. Plus if the 300 gets a pipe and a filter your screwed again. Big Gun and White Brothers make good silencers and headpipes for your 250ex.

Go to your local honda dealer, and say, i have a 250EX i would like to trade in on a 300ex.

Then bamm you will be all happy

 

If I am not mistaken I belive the 250 EX is beat by the 300 in top speed by only a couple of MPH. I think the 250 is 51 or 52 while the 300 is 55 or 56? I would not take much to get the 250 to take a 300 but it won't take much for a 300 to just smoke a 250. I would go with the advise of 94DGBlaster. Trade that sucker in!!

Well if you want to run with him then just get the filter and the pipe and jet it and you should be fine.

 

!1 problem if you speed up your 250ex so the top end is the same then its still gunna take you and hour and a half to get up to speed lol hehe . also try taking out the choke plate to give it more flow (if it has one) . that will help with the airfilter and pipe . also try and gte a wiseco piston with a higher compression . i THINK i saw one before , take off your airbox lid too . good luck (youll need it ) hehe .[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

I also have the "250ex no money for a 400ex" problem. but im happy w/the speed its fine for trails. someone told me if you modify yr engine it wont last as long and that is what the 250ex was made for "low maintance". I would suggest keepin the thing for freinds and buy a 300ex. the 250ex is good for someone who isnt comfortable w/shiftin. People look at me like im crazy out on the trails ridn but I don't care. Just RIde ThE tHiNG!

 

oh well if you still want a 250ex then just keep the fram and get every thing eals that you can off a 300ex or 250x that would help alot you didnt say you had a price limet lol good luck atleast its a honda lol.
