2 Much $$ for 300 ??
#1
I've got a 99 TRX300 4x4 I'm trying to sell. It's been in the news paper classifieds for five days and not one phone call (yes,I've checked the phone number in the add). With hunting season starting, I didn't think it would be a problem getting rid of. Its advertised for $4550.00. Kelly blue book say's you would pay about $4700.00 at the dealer used. Am I asking to much? Any opinions would be appreciated.

I too have had the same delima. I placed my ForemanES 450 in the paper for 10 days(2 weekends) and didn't get a single call. One, but it was stupid, "Hey would you sell if $4,000?"
I thought the same thing you did. Hunting season. Low miles, excellent condition. KBB showed $5345. I listed it for $5,000. I thought, What a deal! I just wanted to sell it. I have decided now that I'll just keep it. I dont' owe very much on it anyway and would probably end up buying another in the future so I might as well just keep the one I got instead of having to do the whole buying process over again in a year.
Good luck to ya!

I just paid $4599 for a brand new left over 300 but that was after a lot of work looking for a dealer that wanted to get ride of one. Most of the dealers wanted 4799 for left overs and 4899 for new ones. Right now with hunting season coming in they have no need to drop the prices. All the used ones I looked at in my area where around that price. There was a 96 for 4,200 that was in the paper for a few weeks and it sold. I would have to say hold on, keep it in for the price for alittle longer and see what happens. The closer hunting season comes along the more calls you will get.
Hope this helps,
Chris

A friend has his '94 Honda 300 with 26" tires, front end locker, performance pipe/filter/jets, winch, and bumper and it's in great shape for sale at $3000. I think he should have gone for $3500, but it might be too late now. First day he advertised it and someone is coming over tomorrow to see it.
The problem with selling machines that are new is that most people will buy the machine from the dealer if it's just a few $100 more.

I have a 99 honda 300 with vampires and 2500lb winch. IF I were to sell it, I would take no less than 5000 but i would avertise for about 5250 or 5500. Good luck
