Red vs. Yellow

I am amazed that this question keeps recirculating! Everyone knows that red is faster! The color pigmentation on the red plastic is closer and tighter, therefore decreasing wind resistance at higher speeds. The larger yellow pigments cause miniscule gaps that allow air to cruise in and around the pigments, causing greater wind resistance in the yellow 400's at higher speeds. I thought everyone knew that!

i think maybe the reason this keeps coming up is because whenever some1 asks this then almost every1 responds with a sarcastic answer. so here is the truth: THEY ARE THE EXACT SAME EXCEPT FOR DIFFERENT COLORS! the only way in the entire world one could possibly be faster than the other is that the dye in the plastic to make it one color makes the quad slightly heavier lol! and thats not true.

OK juggalo is right...maybe this keeps coming back because of all of the sarcasm. I'm sorry about my previous sarcastic post. Here is the real truth...
All of the 400ex's are the same...they have to be. Did you know that all 400ex's are Red and Yellow? They change color depending on rider mood. If the rider is angry, or feeling competitive they turn red, if the guy is mellow they turn yellow. However, Honda did have a mix up and a batch of the American destined EX's accidentally went to Australlia. Those you will find to be backwards. So let's just hope this topic is resolved now.
(It started out serious, I swear)

I have ridden an Australlia 400ex. It was royal blue. It took me a while to get used to that machine because of the throttle being on the lefthand side. I hated that because my righthand thumb kept on wanting to hang down for a throttle lever and I had to put a stint on my lefthand thumb to keep it down so it would hit the throttle lever. Then I could only go In first gear because my right foot kept on wanted to go down and my left foot would want to shift when I should have braked. I could have went faster on my xr 70 with all the confusion going on.
