Sometimes after my 300ex gets warmed up after ridin then idles there is sometimes a slight pinging noise with like 2 or 3 pings at a time....it is very quiet though....anything i should be concerned about. It runs great other than that. Also does any1 know how many horses a 300 has outa the box?/

 

I think the 300 makes 17hp stock. That pinging could be alot of things but make sure your header bolts are tight.

 

kkkiller300ex's 300ex does that too its pretty loud on his though . it only does it when he first starts it though so it may be a different thing then yours . you should ask him .
