400EX gas/trails????????????????????

How many miles can you go on a tank of gas with the 400EX?
and also how well does it do on long fast trail rides is it coumfy and how well does it handle on trail and in 1-1 1/2' of water and then a little mud????????

I dont know the exact milege but i made one day of really hard dune and trail riding at the badlands in attica indiana on one tank of gas. it should go through the mud and water pretty good unlessu get past the air box then u could suck it in the motor from there or the tail pipe and for some one as small as me( 90 lbs 13 yrs old) the seat is very comfy on long casual trails and it is the best handling quad ive ever owned. i like it alot better than my scrambler 500, hope this helped

Well, I can ride all day on one tank of gas - very aggressive trail riding. And at Glamis, I rode across the dunes 28 miles as fast as I could go and only used about 1/2 tank of gas. That was with paddle tires, remember! So, all in all, it gets AWESOME gas mileage, but the mileage itself varies.

my 450ex will go 75 miles on a tank of gas ....
