Hey Tunookie,
I bet you don't miss the hay-burners! And getting up in the cold morning to go feed 'em.
We had horses too, and I don't miss any of that crap.
Bailing hay/ cleaning stalls/ buying feed/ buying tack/ fixing fences ect.
And I haven't had to "fight" with my quad yet, getting it to load-up!

As a matter of fact, my thoroughbred mare flipped over on my husband in a big mud bog. It was a bad scene. The final straw in my horse history was, my mare came up with a bruised foot, but it took a $5000. vet bill to figure that out. My hubby is now very anti-horse. I have had them since I was 5. 11 Horses in all. I must admit taking care of my 250R is much easier. I just bought a lock for it today, order some new grips and checked out some shock covers. It takes so little to make them happy LOL. One day I hope to have a horse again. but this time I will have a MX track running through my pasture as well. Loving my new sport and all the neat people I meet.

I will take a ATV or dirtbike any day over a horse. Long story short. I was 12 riding horse that was a stud. Stud horse smelled female horse running by. Stud horse wanted female horse. I wasn't strong enough to contain stud horse going full speed after female horse that was now running full speed to get away from stud horse. Neck on stud horse was going up and down and on one of the downward movements of his neck my body went down neck and then hit the ground face first and then stud horse ran over me. I was a ragdoll in the dirt. I layed there for a short thinking about what had just happened and decided that for Cristmas I would see if maybe a 1969 Honda Mini Trail 50 could be by the christmas tree. I was really banged up but pulled through it. What looked the worst was That when I hit the ground face first I had the worst looking two black eyes ever. When I went back to school every one thought I had got beat up real bad. No more horses in my life and its been dirtbikes and now since 1998 ATV's. Chet
