im getting my quad back from the shop on monday and im getting redy to fill up my gas tanks and looking for high octane gas for the 11:1 piston. i called my local airport to see what they have and its 100 low-lead i dont no if thats ok to mix like 2:1 with 93 or shoud i just go to the drag strip to get 110 what would be the best bet? the only problem is the drag strip is like 35 miles away, but thats just something ya have to deal with huh thanx

Interesting to see that you are from Castalia. I was just there on Monday and Tuesday. The company that I work for has a corporate meeting place there. I would call Fremont speedway and see if they will sell you any race gas there. I think that would be closer than going to Norwalk. There may also be some gas stations near the track that sell race gas. I would call around to see if anyone has it for sale.

 

with a 11 to 1 piston you dont need any thing higher than 100 octane any thing higher will actuly cost you power.....my 450ex runs best on on 93 octane...my 2 cents

 

if you only have an 11:1 just got to your local BP and get super 93 out of the pump! its that easy! it dont need anymore! if your putting anyhting more in it your just wasting your money!

 

I agree....Your compression will not be high enough to bother with race fuel... Stick with 93 octane...you will be fine.
