what would win in a drag: 400ex or cr 125, than 400ex vs 250
DOES anyone know the top speedsof a cr125 & 250

 

400ex would lose both races

 

The 400EX would definately lose both. I think the 125 will top out somewhere in the low 70's and the 250 somewhere around 85.

i have seen a CR125 and a 99 400EX drag race and the 125 absolutley killed it. hell a 125 2 stroke ATV would probably come close to beating a 400EX.

I on my 400EX (170 lbs) and my brother on my modded (Weisco superlight, boyesen reeds, bored .020)
1985 CR125 (he is about 190 lbs) tied dead even in a dragrace.

So, yes. If we weighed the same, the CR would beat but not KILL the 400EX. (I know my CR is older, but its modded too)

 

the 85 CR is ancient, even modded...a new CR125R will absolutely kill a 400ex.

 

1st 250
2nd 125
3rd 400ex

A 400ex would be lucky to beat a new cr80.. theres no way itll come near a 125
I have heard of very modded shees keeping up with 125s thats about it.

 

Yup, the CR 125 is faster than a Banshee down low, and about even up top (stock).

I take a special pride in dusting 400EX's and Banshee's with my "Ancient" CR125. 36mm carb, UNI Filter, DG full exhaust, .80 over, boysen reeds, mild port job. Gotta say for those few engine mods that thing is fast. I haven't raced it against my X yet but I imagine that the X will loose as well. You just can't beat the feel, smell, and speed of a motocross bike, even if it's 18 years old.
