I called HONDA directly, and asked them wtf's up with the EX's. Its the same for the 250's, and the 300's as well as the 400's. The Red/Black 400EX comes from the factory with an WB S-Bend header, and "disguised" WB R series. It runs compression of 10:5:1, and is already bored .20 over, and has a web-cam, rev box, and K&N.
The Yellow 400 comes from the factory with LSR +2+1 A-Arms, Lonestar made the axle, Laeger swingarm, and Works Performance has made the shocks.
I think that if I were to buy an EX, I would definately buy yellow, because the modifications of the yellow are much more costly than the mods on the red. I think that if you could take the reds motor, and the yellows frame, you would have a race ready quad. Maybe honda will put them together next year, and call it the Whoretrax... lol
