The other day i was out riding and i found an old 1984 Honda ATC 125M, it was in this place. I took a look at it the gave it a start and with about the 5th pull it started up. I then put it in gear and as i shifted it it jerked like when you shift and i go to give it gas and then nothing happens. I change gears and nothin then in about fourth gear at full rpms it finally inched folward.but i was the stoped by a rock that was about a 2 inches tall.
I would like to kno what is the problem? and has any one else ever had a simalar problem. And i would be interested with any information about them like how many gears does it have, how fast are they, and what does the "M" stand for in the 125"m"? and any other info about them. THANX!

I had two at one time, they have 4 gears with hi/low range and can top out in the (YES) high 50MPH range. Sounds like the clutch is smoked on the one you found, and its also most likley stolen.

you want to look out for a couple things with those. The frame will crack under the gas tank if ridden hard (no suspension), the transmission will fail after years of abuse, but other than that there not a bad wheeler.

A friend broke his 110 in half back in the day, must have the same frame, and the tranny (in my view) is failed from the factory as they shift so bad.
